HENRYETTA - The Henryetta track and field program earned Top 10 finishes last Friday at the annual John Philippe Invitational.

The Knights took home a third-place finish in the boys division at the home meet, finishing with a team total of 72 points, while the Lady Knights finished 10th overall in the girls division with a team total of 34 points.

Vian took home the girls team championship at the Henryetta meet, edging Eufaula 77-69 in the team standings. Mounds and Keys tied for third with 59 points each, while Weleetka was fifth in the girls division with 48 team points.

Hulbert was sixth with 46 points, followed by Clayton in seventh with 45 and Prague in eighth with 38 points. Allen finished ahead of the Lady Knights in ninth with 36 team points.

The team champion on the boys side was Destiny Christian with 86 points. Hulbert was runner-up in the boys division with 78 points.

Allen and Prague rounded out the Top 5 finishers on the boys side with 71 and 43 points, respectively.

Keys was sixth overall with 40 points, followed by Weleetka in seventh with 33 points, Vian in eighth with 28 points, and Clayton and Midway tied for ninth with 26 points each.

Bailey Worlow was the top individual finisher for the Lady Knights last Friday, capturing gold in three events. Worlow took top honors in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.97 seconds, was first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:06.59, and crosssed the finish line ahead of the rest of the competition in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:45.02.

The other individual placers for the Lady Knights at the home meet were Alyssa Collett (5th in 1600 meter run), Kaylee Watson (6th in 1600 meter run), and Kenna Najera (6th in Discus).

Austin Green was the top individual performer for the Knights last Friday, finishing first in both the 200 meter dash (55.06) and 800 meter run (2:12.62).

Dalton Key also took home gold for the Henryetta gentlemen, finishing first in the Pole Vault with a height of 8 feet. Key also finished sixth in the High Jump with a height of 5 feet, 4 inches.

James Martin finished runner-up in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 18.66 seconds and was third in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 45.24 seconds.

Trevor King (4th in 400 meter dash, 6th in 800 meter run) and Cameron Slyconish (5th in Discus) were the only other individual performers for Henryetta in the boys division at the home meet.

The Knights took home the gold in the 1600 meter relay with a time of 3:52.14.

The Henryetta track and field teams were back in action Thursday with a trip to Chelsea and will be home Friday to compete in their other home meet - the Black and Gold Relays. ---
