April events set

April is filled with events for Henryetta and area residents beginning with the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Legislative Forum this Friday, April 5 at 12 noon at Shoney’s. Okmulgee County

April is filled with events for Henryetta and area residents beginning with the Henryetta Chamber of Commerce Legislative Forum this Friday, April 5 at 12 noon at Shoney’s.

Okmulgee County Relay For Life will hold Bingo at 7 p.m. at the First Family Federal Credit Union (FFFCU) new Corporate Headquarters at 315 W. Main in Henryetta.

Saturday, April 6 will be a full day with the Henryetta Arts & Crafts Bazaar at First Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a large variety of vendor booths with something for everyone.

Other Saturday events include St. Michael’s Church Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Henryetta R/C Aviators meeting at Shoney’s at 7 p.m. and Henryetta High School Prom at 7 p.m. (arrival at 6 p.m.).

FFFCU will host their annual meeting on Tuesday, April 9 at 6 p.m. at Henryetta High School.

On Saturday, April 13, the annual Lions Club Golf Tournament begins at 9 a.m. at the Henryetta Golf Course and the annual Relay For Life starts at 2 p.m. at Cameron Field in Henryetta.

Henryetta FFA Banquet is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Henryetta High School Cafeteria.

Lions Club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt for ages 2 to 10 will be held on Saturday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at Nichols Park.

Henryetta Historical Society members will hold their regular monthly meeting on Monday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m. at the Church of Christ.

A Spring Fair (formerly known as the Retirement Fair) will be held on Saturday, April 27 at Okmulgee First Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee. The event is sponsored by the Henryetta Free-Lance and Okmulgee Times.

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 539 of Henryetta members will hold a Flag Drive on April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walmart and Homeland in Henryetta.

More events will be announced in coming weeks.
