CANADIAN - Henryetta freshman Skylar Smallwood fired a season-best 89 Wednesday at the Canadian Invitational golf tournament at Arrowhead Golf Course.
Smallwood's 18-hole total was good enough to award the high school rookie the individual championship trophy.
As a team, the Lady Knights finished with a total score of 388 and featured a total of four Top 10 medalists at the event.
Emily Potter finished third overall with an 18-hole total of 93, followed by Emily Stockholm and Lottie Johnson tied for eighth overall at 103.
Telyia Woods rounded out the Lady Knight individual scorers with a total score of 115.
Madison Byroads and Chloe Morton also competed at the event for HHS. Byroads carded an 18-hole total of 126, while Morton was one stroke ahead of her teammate at 125.
Wednesday's team championship is the third in 2019 for the Lady Knights.
The HHS link squad started the 2019 campaign by capturing the team championship at Olive on March 1 with a team total of 386 and also took home the team title at Okemah March 6, finishing with a team total of 389.
At Okemah, the top individual finisher for Henryetta was Smallwood with an 18-hole total of 90. Potter was next with score of 94, followed by Stockholm at 97, Johnson at 108, and Woods at 114. On March 14, the Lady Knights competed at the Wewoka Invitational, finishing third at the event.
Next up for the Henryetta girls golf team will be the Conference Tournament at Fountainhead Golf Course in Checotah Wednesday, followed by the Checotah Invitational next Saturday, also at Fountainhead.
