A Wagoner man is in custody at the Okmulgee County Jail, accused of holding a woman against her will.
The Morris Police Department was contacted Thursday, by the clerk at the Morris EZ Mart requesting assistance for a woman.
Assistant Chief Ishanta Shoals arrived at the store and interviewed the woman. The victim told the officer she had been held against her will for two days at a residence in the 400 block of North 4th Street.
The woman also informed the police she had been choked and beaten by the suspect, “until she nearly lost consciousness,” the court record stated.
After providing medical attention, the victim was taken to the hospital.
During the course of the investigation, the suspected was identified as Keifer Anthony Fox, 26, of Wagoner.
On Friday, Assistant Chief Shoals and officers from the Muscogee Nation located the suspect, and arrested him without incident.
Fox is being held on complaints of Kidnapping and Domestic Assault and Battery by Strangulation. His bond was set at $75,000.
Fox also had four felony warrants out of Wagoner County in addition to a City of Morris warrant.
The suspect is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Okmulgee County district court on Thursday, April 18 at 2 p.m.
