A Eufaula resident has been arrested after falsifying his name and attempting to destroy evidence during a routine traffic stop.
According to the affidavit, on March 1 at around midnight an Okmulgee County Sheriff Deputy initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle near the Twin Hills Schools for a defective tag light.
During the traffic stop the deputy made contact with the driver and passenger of the vehicle and collected identification from the driver. The deputy also attempted to collect identification from them and was provided the name of Thomas McIntosh as well as a phone number.
The deputy conducted a records check through dispatch and was informed that McIntosh had a warrant out of Muscogee and Creek County and a CNLH officer was en route.
The deputy then returned to the vehicle and approached the passenger side to have McIntosh exit. According to a statement provided by the deputy at this point he asked McIntosh to step in front of his patrol unit at which point McIntosh dropped a rag on the ground and began to step on it making a sound like glass breaking.
The glass item was observed to be a pipe used for partaking of methamphetamine. The deputy ordered McIntosh to get on the ground and he was placed into cuffs and advised of the warrant for this arrest. In response McIntosh grabbed his wallet out of his back pocket and provided a Creek Nation Citizenship Card bearing the name of William Christian McIntosh.
While searching McIntosh the following items were discovered: white bottle containing a $1 bill and a $20 bill. Inside the $1 bill was a clear baggie containing a crystal substance and inside the $20 bill was a white piece of plastic also containing a crystal substance. A multicolored glass smoking pipe with marijuana residue and a wood smoking pipe with marijuana residue were also discovered on his person.
McIntosh was transported to the Okmulgee County Jail for booking and is being held on a $13,000 bond for suspicion of possession of CDS, possession of paraphernalia, false personation and destroying evidence.
