Steven Baldridge retained his seat as Okmulgee Councilmember At-Large (Mayor) following Tuesday’s election.
He beat out challenger Ron Davis 217-83, or 72 percent of the vote, to get a third term in office.
“Thank you all for your support. I look forward to working on growth for Okmulgee,” Baldridge posted on social media following the election.
In Morris, Dana Mims won the School Board Office 4 seat, facing off against Kyle Brooks and Jessica Key-Caldwell.
“Thank you to everyone who has supported me during this election process,” Mims said. “I’m excited for the opportunity to work with Superintendent Chris Karch and the other board members. I’m ready to serve our school and am looking forward to my role in creating excellence for the Morris School District. Thank you and Go Eagles!”
Voter turnout for the mayoral election was very low, with only 300 residents casting ballots.
The following election totals are unofficial until verified on Friday at 5 p.m. by the Okmulgee County Election Board.

Pct. 4 – Baldridge, 1 vote; Davis, 3 votes. Pct. 7 – Baldridge, 29 votes; Davis, 4 votes. Pct. 8 – Baldridge, 30 votes; Davis, 17 votes. Pct. 9 – Baldridge, 44 votes; Davis, 17 votes. Pct. 10 – Baldridge, 10 votes; Davis, 5 votes. Pct. 11 – Baldridge, 101 votes; Davis, 31 votes. Pct. 32 – Baldridge, no votes; Davis, 3 votes. Pct. 36 – Baldridge, 2 votes; Davis, no votes.
