A 1999 Chevy gasoline bus and a 1994 Ford diesel bus were declared as surplus and open for sealed bids by the Wilson Board of Education at their Jan. 10 meeting.
Minutes of the Oct. 11 and Dec. 11 board meetings were reviewed and approved.
Various other items on the agenda also approved by board members are as follows:
• Monthly financial reports for the Activity and Lunch funds for November 2018 and December 2018;
• Monthly treasurer report for December 2018;
• Purchase orders/encumbrances and warrants from the General Fund, Building Fund and Bond Fund for the Fiscal Year 2018-2019;
• Blanket purchase order for Supply Works in the amount of $6,000;
• Wilson Indian Education Committee Policy and Procedures.
Nearly an hour-long executive session was held to discuss possible changes in personnel based on enrollment. After reconvening, no action was taken or discussed, according to the meeting minutes.
A Compliance Statement was read by Superintendent Andrea James. Supt. James presented an update to board members on facilities, maintenance and a calendar of events. Board members in attendance were Jimmy Floyd, Pam Gaines, Travis Moore and Thomas Harjo. Dawnyell McKinney was absent. Guests included Supt. James and Lori Edmundson.
