Bible study, January 19, 9:30 a.m.

Each of “Jesus' Messages to the Seven Churches,” (our study this week), begins with a commendation for their good qualities, (except for Sardis and Laodicea), then warns them to repent of their apostasies, (except for Smyrna and Philadelphia), and gives precious promises to the overcomers.

As the churches increased in apostasy, so Jesus' promises and encouragement to the overcomers increased, ending with possibly the greatest promise of all, given to the church at Laodicea, to sit with Jesus on His throne.

Whichever church we identify with let's cooperate with Jesus in becoming over-comers.

Study texts are Revelation 2:8-3:22; 1 Kings 16:31-33; Matthew 24:42-44; Luke 1:37; John 16:33; Philippians 1:6; 4:13; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-9; 1 Timothy 1:14,15 and 1 John 2:28.

Worship service is at 11 a.m. Saturday at both churches. Midweek service is on Tuesday at 7:30 at the Maranatha church and Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Okmulgee Church.
