OKMULGEE - The Henryetta Golden Knight high school wrestling team battled the Tulsa Rogers Ropers and county foe, the host Okmulgee Bulldogs, in a Tri match at historic Brock Memorial Gymnasium.

The host Bulldogs opened the Tri against former wrestling coach Marlon Houston and his Tulsa Rogers Roper matsmen, then the Knight grapplers went up against Tulsa Rogers in the middle match.

The Knights and Bulldogs then took the mat for a county wrestling showdown to close out the Round Robin-style event.

Against Okmulgee, Riley Padgett scored a pinfall victory over Daniel Vazquez in the 113-pound match.

Madison Byroads also notched a pinfall victory against the Bulldogs, defeating Zane Campbell in the 132-pound match.

Jordan Hart came away with a pinfall victory in his 152-pound showdown with Duke Nidiffer, while Tyler Wilson escaped with a narrow 8-7 decision over Brendan McCall at 220 lbs.

The only loss for the Knights against Okmulgee was a pinfall loss by Ty Reid to Cameron Colpitt in a 138-pound match.

In the Henryetta-Tulsa Rogers meeting, the Knights came away with a pair of forfeit wins at 132 lbs. (Byroads) and 182 lbs. (Elliott Jones) and pinfall victories at 113 lbs. (Padgett), 160 lbs. (Hart), and 220 lbs. (Wilson). Ethan Wincle (195 lbs.) lost by a 4-1 decision, while Reid (145 lbs.) dropped a 13-4 decision.

The other individual losses for Henryetta came by way of pinfall.

Riley Floyd suffered a pinfall defeat at 152 lbs. and Scott Okerson was lost by pinfall in the Heavyweight match.

The Knight grappling squad was back in action on Tuesday with a home match against the Warner Eagles.
