HENRYETTA - The Henryetta Golden Knight varsity football team had a case of déjà vu in 2018, finishing the campaign with a second-straight 1-9 record.

The Knights also finished 1-9 in 2017 with the only win last year coming in Week 5 against Haskell.

This year's lone win came in Week 2 in Warner, as the Henryetta gridiron squad defeated the host Warner Eagles 30-13.

In their nine losses in 2018, the Knights were defeated in each contest by more than 20 points.

The Henryetta squad kicked off 2018 on August 31 against their arch rivals, the Morris Eagles, suffering a third-straight setback to the Eagles - 40-8.

After the win over Warner, the Knights dropped decisions to Hartshorne (50-13), Okemah (44-15), Prague (61-6), Holdenville (34-13), Kellyville (41-7), Jones (55-0), Chandler (46-8), and Meeker (57-0) by a combined 388-62 and featured just three games where the Henryetta squad found the end zone more than once and two shutouts.

Offensively in 2018, the Knights finished with 2,547 yards of total offense on 559 plays - an average of 254.7 yards per game.

The Henryetta offense rushed 291 times for 1,145 yards and completed 102 of 268 passes for 1,402 yards in 10 games this season for averages of 114.5 and 140.2 yards, respectively.

Offensively, the Knights recorded 127 first downs and turned the ball over a total of 33 times. Henryetta quarterbacks threw 17 interceptions in 10 games this season, while ballcarriers lost 16 of 30 fumbles during the 2018 campaign.

The Knights were penalized 84 times in 2018 for a total of 659 yards.

The Knights allowed more yardage on the ground this season, as opponents amassed 3,111 yards on the ground - an average of 311.1 yards per game - on 362 attempts, while giving up 1,053 yards through the air on 58 of 108 passing.

The Henryetta defense came away with a total of 18 takeaways in 2018, intercepting seven passes and recovering 11 of 17 forced fumbles this season.

Opponents picked up a total of 177 first downs this season and were penalized 86 times for 786 yards.

The top rusher for the Knights in 2018 was senior Jordan Hart with 586 yards on 124 carries and one score. Austen Macaluso was next in the rush column for Henryetta with 313 yards on 41 carries and 2 TDs.

Other ballcarriers for the Knights this season were Daniel Bear (17 carries, 145 yards), Jeremiah Boyles (5 carries, 47 yards), Riley Pixler (32 carries, 37 yards), Jakob White (55 carries, 19 yards, TD), James Martin (1 carry, 1 yard), and Kameron Sisson (16 carries, minus-three yards).

Jakob White was the top passer for Henryetta this season, completing 75 of 193 passes for 1,142 yards with 9 TDs and 10 interceptions.

Riley Pixler completed 27 of 73 passes for 260 yards with one touchdown and six interceptions.

Jordan Hart attempted two passes in 2018 with one incompletion and one interception.

The top receiver for Henryetta in 2018 was Jeremiah Boyles with 20 receptions for 357 yards and 3 TDs. Austen Macaluso was second in receiving for the Knights with 20 catches for 272 yards and 2 TDs.

Daniel Bear was third in the receiving department for Henryetta this season with 18 catches for 254 yards and 4 TDs, followed by Jordan Hart with 22 receptions for 217 yards and one touchdown and Aden Macaulso with nine catches for 180 yards.

Other receivers this season for the Knights were Logan Whitlock (6 receptions, 75 yards), Cameron McKinney (2 receptions, 26 yards), James Martin (5 receptions, 19 yards), and Dylan Bain (1 reception, 2 yards).
