The unemployment rate for all counties in Oklahoma dropped during the month of Octoboer, according to the latest numbers from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission. In Okmulgee County, the unemployment rate was reported at 4.1 percent. The county has a labor force of 16,334 with 15,670 currently working and 664 seeking employment. Last year, Okmulgee County’s unemployment rate was reported at 6.1 percent. Statewide, Latimer County posted Oklahoma’s highest county unemployment rate with 6.3 percent. McIntosh County had the second highest rate at 5.1 percent, while McCurtain County had the third highest rate at 4.6 percent . Dewey County, Beaver, Blaine and Cimarron Counties claimed the lowest county unemployment totals ranging from 1.4 to 1.6 percent. During October in Oklahoma, Trade, Transportation, Utilities and Leisure and Hospitality posted the gains of 2,100 jobs. Professional and Business Services lost 1,400 jobs followed by Construction which declined by 900 jobs. ——
