Okmulgee County Treasurer Vonna Lampkins and her staff mailed out the 2018 Tax Statements on Monday, Nov. 26.
Normally the ‘first half’ is due on Dec. 31, but Lampkins has extended that deadline to Jan. 11, 2019. The ‘second half’ will be due on March 31, 2019. The treasurer's office will be open until 4:30 p.m. on those days or until the last taxpayer has left.
“No statements will be mailed out on the second half,” Lampkins said. “It is your responsibility to mail the second half on time. If you don't receive your tax statement soon, please call the office and we can give you the amount over the phone.”
Taxpayers wanting to use credit cards can do so at the office or online at the treasurer's website. The credit card company charges a 3 percent charge for each transaction.

You may also google Okmulgee County Treasurer and it will direct you to the site. This site allows taxpayers to view tax information online, calculate mortgage tax and to pay taxes by credit card.
Residents wishing a receipt should enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. This also includes anyone who has a mobile home and needs a decal.
If back taxes are due, it will state that at the end of your Tax Roll Identification Number (TID) in the upper right hand corner with the letters "BT" printed in bold letters. At the bottom of the statement, it will also have the years that are delinquent printed in a block and highlighted.
Anyone needing to make changes to their tax information must do so in the County Assessor’s Office.
On Oct. 31, the Okmulgee County Assessor certified to the County Treasurer $17,640,999 to be collected for the 2018 tax year.
