Rachael Highers, a Henryetta High School (HHS) 2011 graduate, was awarded a $1,000 Daniel C. and Tiffany Sewell-Howard Endowed Scholarship to Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater on Sept. 28 at an OSU banquet.
During high school, Highers received the Troy Aikman Award to attend Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.
She graduated in 2014 from NSU with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, with a perfect 4.0 Grade Point Average. She attended the university for only three years.
A current resident of Sapulpa, Highers works in Tulsa where she is pursuing a Masters in Business Administration at OSU.
She is the daughter of Jewell Highers and the sister of Danielle and Christine Highers and Damian Lund, all of Henryetta. Her aunt is a Henryetta Public School teacher, Mary Craft. She is also the granddaughter of the late Jack and Audrey Beal of Henryetta.
