Okmulgee County Restaurant Review recently concluded a people’s poll for the month of September for the Best Chicken Fried Steak in Okmulgee County. All month long, it was a close contest. Twin Hills Convenience Plaza and Restaurant won the poll with 264 votes. Coming in close was Mona’s Rose of Sharon in Henryetta with 246 votes for second place. Third place was Kirby’s Cafe with 105 votes. Dave Crow with Okmulgee County Restaurant Review said that the lead contenders in the poll saw a healthy increase in business throughout the month as a result of the poll.

“We extend a hearty congratulations to the team at Twin Hills Convenience Plaza and Restaurant for their hard work and quality service,” Crow said.

Since opening their doors nearly a year ago, Twin Hills is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Twin Hills staff includes Ben McClellan, Amber Stokes, Frank Lining, Sarah Green, John Palmer, Millicent Beasley, Shanna Cheatham, Mary Harjo, Amber Rutledge, Solomon Sands, Natalie Primeaux and Osea McCart.

“If you see them, a hand shake and a pat on the back are in order,” Crow added.

Mona’s Rose of Sharon posted a congratulations to Twin Hills and said, “We had a great run and a great time in competition with everyone. We gained so many supporters and customers along the way. If it wasn’t for them, none of us would be here. Second place is a great place and a honor to be among all the establishments in Okmulgee County.”

“Thank you to Dave Crow and April Taber for your support and love for all of our eateries in Okmulgee County and pushing us to do our best and produce a quality product,” Mona’s said.
