Henryetta Economic Development Authority (HEDA) held their regular monthly meeting on Sept. 10.
Board member and Henryetta Mayor Jennifer Munholland announced that City of Henryetta officials would be meeting with engineers for the QuikTrip project this week.
Munholland said that everything is going well and the groundbreaking for the site could be before the end of this year. Once construction begins, QuikTrip is estimated to be completed within six months.
Henryetta resident Alan Kerby presented information regarding the School Trauma Kit Project and answered questions from board members. Kerby hopes that more members of the community and more families get involved with the project.
In the City of Henryetta update, Munholland said that the sewage project should be starting soon and the Motel Feasibility Study has been challenging as the city has never done anything like it before.
Minutes of the regular Aug. 13 meeting and the HEDA financial report for August were approved.
Board members in attendance were Keith Estes, Jim Beymer, Jill Francis, Ron McAfee, and Jennifer Munholland. Also attending was Roy Madden.
