The Henryetta cross country program will kick off their 2018 campaign Saturday at 8 a.m.
The HPS runners will open 2018 in Holdenville, competing against lots of tough competition.
Following the season opener at Holdenville, the Henryetta cross country teams will travel to Seminole next Saturday for the Seminole Invitational meet.
The only home meet for the Henryetta squads will be the annual Henryetta Invitational September 8, beginning at 8 a.m. at historic Nichols Park.
The other scheduled meets for the Henryetta cross country teams will be on the road. The Knights and Lady Knights will travel to Sapulpa September 1, Holdenville September 22, Kiefer September 29, and Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee September 15 and October 4. The second OBU meet will get underway at 10 a.m., while the other regular-season meets will get started at 8 a.m.
The Henryetta junior high teams will end their 2018 season September 29 at Kiefer.
The Henryetta high school teams will close out their regular-season schedule October 4 at OBU, then will participate in the Class 3A regional cross country meet October 13 at a site to be determined by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association.
The final meet of the 2018 season for the Henryetta high school cross country team will be the Class 3A state cross country championship meet October 20 at the Gordon Cooper Technology Center in Shawnee, which is also the site for the two OBU meets.
