The 2018 fastpitch softball season will get underway in five days for the Dewar Lady Dragons. The Lady Dragons will begin 2018August 6 in Butner for a 3-way showdown with

The 2018 fastpitch softball season will get underway in five days for the Dewar Lady Dragons. The Lady Dragons will begin 2018August 6 in Butner for a 3-way showdown with the Wilson Lady Tigers and the host Butner Lady Eagles. Following the season opener, the Dewar diamond squad will travel to Graham the following day (August 7) for a meeting with the host Graham-Dustin Lady Chieftains. The first home action for the Lady Dragon fastpitch softball team in 2018 will be August 9 with first-day action at the annual Dewar Invitational Fastpitch Softball Tournament. Tournament action will also take place August 10 and 11 at Al Kessel Field in Dewar. Following the home tournament, the Lady Dragons will travel to Canadian August 14 to battle the host Canadian Lady Cougars, then will close out Week 2 of their 2018 season at the Stuart Tournament August 16-18. The final contests in August for the Dewar squad will be home games August 21 against Weleetka, August 27 against Strother, and August 30 against Okmulgee County foe, the Preston Lady Pirates. The road games for the Lady Dragons at the end of August will be Midway August 23 and Wetumka August 28 (3-way with Wetumka and Crowder). The Lady Dragons will kick off September at the Morris Tournament September 6 and 8, then will travel to Red Oak September 11 for a showdown with the Red Oak Lady Eagles. The final three regular-season games for the Dewar ladies in September will also be on the road, traveling to Morris September 13, Oktaha September 17, and Mounds September 18. Class A playoff action will get underway with district tournament action September 20, followed by the regional tournament September 27. The district and regional tournaments will be played at sites determined by the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association. The Class A state softball tournament will take place October 4-6 at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. ---
