A 2018 Henryetta High School graudate, Johnson was among 100 outstanding seniors from Oklahoma public schools who were honored by the foundation as Academic All-Staters. He received an Academic All-State scholarship sponsored by Janet and Frank H. Seay of Seminole. The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence is a statewide non-profit organization that recognizes and encourages academic excellence in Oklahoma’s public school. Barton, who teaches Advanced Placement calculus and physics, was Johnson’s honored teacher guest at the banquet.
