Cleta Jean Blake
Cleta Jean Blake, 87, resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday June 6, in Okmulgee. Cleta was born Aug. 6, 1932, in Okemah to Roger and Lena Kennedy, cousin to the Shepards and Hills of Okemah.
Cleta loved with all her heart and was loved by many. She graduated from Daniel Webster High School and attended the Oklahoma School of Accounting, Tulsa University and Tulsa Jr. College. Cleta was a member of the Clearview Baptist Church of Okmulgee and worked all of her life. She was the owner and operator of C. Jean Blake Insurance, Inc. for 18 years. Cleta enjoyed working at the Nutrition Shoppe until she retired this year.
Cleta is survived by her five children, Darel Collins and wife Sherry, Larry Collins, Michael Stewart and wife Brenda, Monte Ray Blake and wife Ruth, and Cindy Blake Scott and husband David; twelve grandchildren including, Laura Jane Collins, Dustin Wade Collins, Carrie Amber Collins and Kaitlyn Stewart; as well as many great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service. Arrangements are under the direction of Schaudt’s Funeral Service.
