Charlsye Wakefield

Graveside services for Charlsye Wakefield, 86, resident of Henryetta, were at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 11, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Muskogee. Services were under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Mrs. Wakefield was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Bonham, Texas to Paul Ray Wright and Verna (Biggerstaff) Wright. She died Sunday, May 7, in Keller, Texas.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Harper and husband Bryan of Keller, Texas; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother, Linus Wright of Dallas, Texas; sister, Reeta Far of Idaho; as well as other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Wakefield; son, William Wakefield Jr.; daughter, Sherry Wakefield; grandsons, Shawn Wakefield and Jason Wakefield; and sister, Geraldine McGregor.
In lieu of flowers the family has deemed St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. as appropriate for donations in her honor.

Concepcion Carcamo

Funeral services for Concepcion Carcamo Hernandez, 104, resident of Dustin, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
Mr. Carcamo was born May 1, 1913, in Santa Tecla, Libertad, El Salvador to Cesario Carcamo Figuera and Bernardina Hernandez Valladares de Carcamo. He died Friday, May 9, in Dustin.
He married Maria Rosa Canas de Carcamo on June 2, 1945, in Arce, Libertad, El Salvador. From this union was born their children, Marsha Carcamo Canas, Elizabeth Carcamo Canas, Jess Carcamo, Pricila Carcamo Canas, Anna Lidia Carcamo Canas, Moises Carcamo Canas, and Gamaliel Carcamo Canas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maria Rosa Canas de Carcamo.

Walter R. Runyan

Graveside services for Walter R. Runyan, 91, resident of Dallas, Texas, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas where Rev. Baron Bell officiated. Services were under the direction of Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home.
Dr. Runyan was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Henryetta to Walter and Sallie Christian Runyan. He died Sunday, May 7, at his home in Dallas.
He was a Navy officer and served in the Pacific during WWII. After the Navy, he attended the University of Oklahoma, the Colorado School of Mines, and earned his PH.D. from the University of Texas in Austin. Dr. Runyan wrote “Silicon Semiconductor Technology” during his thirty years of work at Texas Instruments. He also researched and coauthored numerous articles and chapters for engineering textbooks and journals.

Freda Loretta Clayton-Smith

Freda Loretta Clayton-Smith, 76, resident of Henryetta, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 7, with her family in Henryetta. Freda was born May 11, 1940, in Vivian to George Washington Clayton and Chloe Bell Brison-Clayton. 
Freda attended Hanna Public Schools. She married Charles T. Smith on Feb. 18, 1956, in Henryetta. Charles was active-duty in the military and Freda accompanied him throughout his military career.
Freda was preceded in death by her father, George Washington Clayton; mother, Chloe Bell Brison-Clayton; two sisters, Viola Fern Clayton-Carl and Betty Lou Clayton-Whaley; and two brothers, Earl Roy Clayton and Fred Franklin Clayton.

Betty Jo Maloney

Betty Jo Maloney, 84, resident of Okmulgee, passed away Monday, May 8, in Tulsa, after battling Alzheimer’s. Betty was born Sept. 2, 1932, in Webb City to Gladys May (Chambers) McGrew and Calvin Monroe McGrew. 
She was married to the late Roy Denzell Maloney for over 41 years.
In 1950, Betty graduated from Okmulgee High School and went on to graduate from Draughon Business College in Tulsa. She also attended OSU in Okmulgee.
Betty retired from ONG in service work. She and her husband owned and operated Maloney’s Furniture in Okmulgee. Betty, along with her daughters owned and operated Xanadu Apparel from 1987 to 2002.

Charleen Lambert

Charleen Lambert, 70, former resident of Henryetta, passed away Thursday, May 4, in Warner, N.H. Charleen was born Jan. 25, 1947, in Oklahoma City to Charley Mack Jenkins and Alva Faye (Poe) Jenkins. 
Charleen grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Oklahoma City Public Schools, graduating from Central High School with the class of 1965. She became a licensed cosmetologist and worked in several capacities in that industry. Charleen married the love of her life, Rick Lambert on Nov. 14, 1967, in Oklahoma City. They remained happily married for 28 years until his death in 1995. Charleen worked for Berry Drug for approximately 20 years before accepting a position as office manager with G&H Decoy in Henryetta, where she worked for approximately 12 years.

Janice Thompson

Funeral services for Janice Thompson, 60, resident of Henryetta, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born located at 9870 Locust Rd. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thompson was born July 10, 1956, in Henryetta to Thurman and Madeline (Quinton) Wren. She died Monday, May 8, in Henryetta. 
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Cloypton and husband Eric of Broken Arrow; son Michael Thompson of Henryetta; grandchildren, Avery Moore, Kyzer Cloypton, and Hadley Cloypton; sister, Kathy Jozwiak and husband Larry of Henryetta; and brother, Sammy Wren and wife Angie of Lawton.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra Kay Kissee

Funeral services for Sandra Kay Kissee, 70, resident of Henreytta, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jerry Webster officiating. Interment will follow at Hanna Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, and 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Integrity Funeral Service.
Mrs. Kissee was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Hanna to Brady Webster and Ella Mae (Marshall) Webster. She died Monday, May 8, in Henryetta. 
She married Roy Kissee on Feb. 16, 1968, in Poteau.

Ruthann (Lowe) Gonterman

Private graveside services for Ruthann Gonterman, per her request, 75, resident of Moore, were held at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Mrs. Gonterman was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Henryetta to Norman Lowe and Katherine Baron Lowe. She died Saturday, April 22, in Oklahoma City.
Survivors include three children, Lisa, Anna, and Eric; grandchildren; and many, many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gonterman; her parents, Norman and Katherine Lowe; and two brothers, Norman Edward Lowe and Michael Lowe.

Steven Harmon

No services are planned at this time for Steven Harmon, 53, resident of Henryetta.  Arrangement are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
Mr. Harmon was born June 20, 1963, in Tulsa to Donald and Karen (Toon) Ingram. He died Thursday, May 4, in Henryetta.
Survivors include his mother Karen Ingram of the home; son, Andrew Harmon and wife Elisha of Tulsa; daughters, Whitney Harmon of Sand Springs and Jessalyn Harmon of Muskogee; sister, Kori Russell of Tulsa; and brother, Howard Harmon of Tulsa.
