Henryetta Free-Lance’s annual Treasure Hunt begins Friday, June 8!

Valued at over $700, the treasure chest waits at the Free-Lance office, ready to be opened and claimed.

No purchase will be necessary to participate. All participants can visit the Free-Lance office at 302 W. Main Street and request a key, while supplies last. Keys are restricted to one key per participant, per day.

Local businesses will also be distributing keys based on their individual sales and promotions.

Once keys are collected, they can be tried out on the chest starting Friday, June 22 at 8 a.m. The person that unlocks the chest will receive all the prizes inside, including a $500 grand prize donated by First Family Federal Credit Union.

Area businesses sponsoring the Treasure Hunt include: Henryetta Music Center, Cave’s Jewelry, First Family Federal Credit Union, Henryetta Drug, Emilio Mexican Restaurant, Henryetta Tag Agency, McDonald’s, Rheba’s Flowers & Gifts, Rainbow Liquor, OK Insure, Dickey’s Oil Pit, Fringed Feather and My Shop Tire.

Keys can be found at all these businesses.

Key attempts can only be made during regular business hours (Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Only one key can be attempted at a time.

If there is a line and you have multiple keys, you may only try one key and then move to the back of the line to attempt your additional keys. If the lock has not been opened by 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11, the Free-Lance will hold a live Facebook drawing.

Contestants may be 18 years of age or older to play. The treasure chest and participants attempting to unlock it will be streamed live by video to our website and our streaming network.

Henryetta Free-Lance wishes you all happy hunting!
