Rose Barnett

Rose May Barnett, 86, resident of Henryetta, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 8. Rose was born April 10, 1931, to Gene and May (McClaskey) DeCorbet.

Rose married Robert “Bob” Barnett on March 31, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas and followed him on many pipeline jobs.

Rose had many hobbies from her flower gardens, painting, coking Sunday dinners, hunting, and fishing. She was an entrepreneur, being a taxidermist and previous owner of Rose Garden Mexican Restaurant, where for many years she sold homemade tamales. Rose was a member of the “OES”, Oklahoma Eastern Star.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Barnett; daughter, Susan Manis; brother, Gene DeCornert; and grandson, Ace Manis.

Rose is survived by her husband, Bob of the home; grandchildren, Leyah Britt and husband Kenny of Henryetta, Amy Barnett of Jenks, Billy Smock of Payden, and Darcy Hunter and husband Todd of Henryetta; great grandchildren, Todd Hunter Jr., Nicole Hunter, Kelby Morgan, Daisy VanMeter, Jessica Britt, Phoenix Britt, Kade Britt, and Gryphon Britt; great-great grandchildren, Wyatt Strange, Chazlynn Owen, Bristal, Harper, and Brecken Britt; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel. Services are under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
