Want to hear some live music?

Cold Water County will perform in Henryetta on Saturday as part of fall Cruise Knight.

The band formed in 2014, when  percussionist Clay Perry and the Dean Brothers joined a local singer for performances.

Individuals started to take notice of the group, including guitarist Tommy Griffin, who was interested in joining the band.

“We all agreed to bring him into the fold, and the rest is history,” Perry said. “For the most part, we've been together ever since with a few lead vocalist changes.”

Current band members include Seth Dean on the guitar fiddle, Chance Dean on bass, Tommy Griffin on guitar, Perry on percussion and Cole Bean on acoustic guitar.

Their main genre of music is “red dirt.”

“We'd say that we play country with an edge,” Perry said. “We play it because it's our lives and the kind of music that we enjoy.”

The band is currently in the process of writing new material.

Saturday's performance will be Cold Water County's first appearance in Henryetta.

“We're just excited to see the crowd and to see how Henryetta folks get down,” Perry said. “We honestly just hope people enjoy themselves. That's basically our main goal.”

Cruise Knight will take place on Main Street, 6-10 p.m.

The burnout contest will start at 6 p.m next to O'Reilly's Auto Parts, hosted by Daniel Lyons.

In addition, this year's Cruise Knight will include a Classic Car Photo booth  hosted by “Pink Wolf Photography.” Photographs will begin at 5 p.m on Fourth Street.

The booth will be large enough to feature a car, and individuals can purchase an 8X10 single page calendar customized to any hot rod. Metal prints will also be available.

Other events will be an Air Evac fly over, vendors and free inflatables for children.
