Javan Asher James Bauer
Obituaries
March 11, 2026
Javan Asher James Bauer

Javan Asher James Bauer passed from this world tragically and unexpectedly at his home in Schulter, Thursday March 5, 2026, so young, being 18 years of age and full of life.

Javan was born on April 13, 2007, in McAlester to Joshua Rendell Thomas Bauer and Julie Maree (James) Bauer, and was brought up in Poteau and Okmulgee. He attended school in Morris, Preston, Okmulgee and Schulter, graduating from Schulter High School with the Class of 2025. He attended Green Country Technology Center and studied HVAC. He worked for Cox Grocery Store in Okmulgee and for Henryetta Nursing Home as caregiver, later going into maintenance.

Some of his favorite hobbies were fishing, hunting, MMA and video games. He especially enjoyed auto mechanics, buying himself a motorcycle to repair just for fun, as well as a pickup truck he was working on for his family. He was always happy to work on vehicles for his family members and friends. He loved spending time with his two nieces, hanging out with his brother, Isaiah and irritating his sister, Kaelynn.

He loved Zandra Stretch, and was the proud father of their son, Owen Joshua James Bauer. The two of them met in November of 2023, and planned to marry later this year. Javan was deeply loved and will be endlessly missed.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Daryl Rendell Bauer.

April 13, 2007 – March 5, 2026

He is survived by his fiancé, Zandra Stretch, and their son, Owen Joshua James Bauer, of the home; his father, Joshua Bauer and wife Britney of Canadian, and mother Julie Bauer and companion Justin Bowles of Okmulgee; his brother and sister-in-law, Isaiah and Courtney Bauer, of Schulter; his sister, Kaelynn Marie Bauer and companion Addison Arevalo of Tulsa; nieces Kaelani Bauer and Stormie Bauer of Schulter; paternal grandmother Sheila Kay Patton and husband David, of Hartford Ark.; maternal grandparents Ed and Brenda James of Dewar; aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of other relatives, countless close friends, two being Bryar “Putter” Mc-Daniel and Thai Marlowe whom he loved like brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the Schulter High School Gymnasium, with Rev. Jerry Autrey and Rev. Darin Smith officiating.

Pallbearers are Isaiah Bauer, Caleb Bauer, Bryar ‘Putter’ Mc-Daniel, Thai Marlowe, Addison Arevalo and David Patton.

Viewing will be held at Fisher Funeral Home Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 1-4 p.m.
