Older Americans Act funding available for senior services in eastern Oklahoma

The Eastern Oklahoma Development District (EODD) Area Agency on Aging has announced the availability of Older Americans Act Title III funding for the upcoming State Fiscal Year 2027 grant cycle.

The funding opportunity covers a 12-month period from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, and is intended to support programs and services for adults age 60 and older. This funding is not available to individuals, but is open to qualified agencies and organizations through a competitive bid process.

Bid proposals are being accepted for services to be provided in the following counties: Adair, Cherokee, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Sequoyah and Wagoner.

Eligible service categories include:

• Legal Services

• Health Promotion

• Outreach Services, including Homemaker services

• National Family Caregiver Support Program

• Transportation services (available in Adair, Cherokee, McIntosh, Okmulgee, Sequoyah and Wagoner counties only) Bid packets were available beginning January 16, and may be requested via email or picked up in person at the EODD office located at 1012 N. 38th Street, Muskogee, OK 74401.

To be considered for funding, attendance at the Proposers’ Conference is mandatory. A representative from each bidding agency or organization must attend the conference, which will be held on Friday, Feb. 6, at 9:30 a.m. at the EODD facility. The location is ADA accessible.

Completed bid proposals must be submitted by 12 noon on Feb. 27.
