Volunteers, donations sought for Hallmark Christmas event

The holiday spirit is about to sparkle in Henryetta, as preparations begin for Henryetta Hallmark Christmas Event, and organizers are reaching out to the community for both volunteers and donations to make this year’s celebration truly magical.

The event promises once again to be filled with music, lights and family fun. But behind every joyful moment is a dedicated group of volunteers working to bring the vision to life and there’s still time for residents to lend a helping hand.

Helpers are needed to staff the Merchan- dise Table, which will rotate hourly throughout the event, as well as to assist with set-up and decorating on Friday and Saturday morning.

In addition to volunteers, the organizing team is looking for a few specific items to borrow or have donated:

• Several fire pits and firewood

• Empty medium and large boxes to wrap as decorative gifts

• An old-time jukebox for use as a photo prop

• Candy canes to hand out Organizers say these donations will help add to the nostalgic holiday charm that makes the Henryetta Hallmark event such a special gathering for families year after year. Anyone wishing to donate items or sign up to volunteer can contact Kelly Dobson at 918-304-9891.

With a little help from volunteers and generous donors, Henryetta is set to shine brighter than ever this Christmas season.
