The Dewar Dragons Homecoming Week festivities are underway, with a week filled with fun, unity and community pride. From themed dress-up days to the much-anticipated Homecoming Parade and pep rally, students, staff, alumni and fans are gearing up to celebrate all things Dewar and tonight’s game against the Savanna Bulldogs.

The excitement kicks off with the Homecoming Parade today at 10 a.m. Students participating in the Homecoming Coronation and members of the Dewar High School Band will march down Hwy 266, beginning at City Hall and traveling from west to east.
Following the parade, everyone is invited to head over to the football field for a pep rally, where the Dragons will be fired up ahead of their big Home- coming matchup. The rally will include performances by the Dewar cheerleaders and band, along with special recognitions for the Homecoming Court and athletes.

Adding to the excitement, Dewar School has rolled out a spirited Homecoming Week schedule designed to engage students of all grades. The weeklong celebration featured daily dress-up themes and special events.
• Monday – Bikers vs. Surfers: Students kick off the week with a fun clash of styles, dressing as either a tough biker or a laid-back surfer.
• Tuesday – Halloween Pajamas: Comfort meets creativity as students come to school in their favorite spooky sleepwear.
• Wednesday – Jersey Day: A classic favorite, students are encouraged to wear their favorite team’s jersey or represent the Dragons with pride.
• Thursday – Color Wars & Pep Rally: Students show their class colors in a friendly competition for bragging rights and a sweet prize.
• Friday – Homecoming Game & Celebration: The big day begins with Homecoming festivities at 6 p.m., followed by the football game at 7 p.m. The Dewar Mini Cheer squad will perform at halftime, and the evening wraps up with the Homecoming Dance, where students will celebrate the week’s end in style.
