The Morris Lions Club recently hosted its annual “Blast From the Past” Car Show in downtown Morris, as the streets were filled with a dazzling lineup of cars, trucks and motorcycles spanning more than a century of automotive history. From elegant early 1900s models to today’s sleek cruisers, the show offered something for every enthusiast. Participants entered into a variety of categories – from decade-based classes such as 1900-1929, 1950-1959 and 2000-2009, to specialty divisions that included Sport Bikes, Cruisers, Special Interest and In-Progress Restorations. Additional specialty classes recognized the creativity and craftsmanship of local builders, with trophies awarded for Best Paint, Best Flames, Best Interior, Best Engine and Best Pinstripes. Attendees enjoyed live music, delicious food truck offerings and plenty of raffle drawings held throughout the day.
