Showdown Throw-Down returns

July 2, 2025
Showdown Throw-Down returns

The annual Henryetta Showdown Throw-Down is back, and the excitement is building across town as local clubs gear up for this year’s friendly faceoff – all for a good cause. Each year, the event rallies around a different charity, uniting the community in support and spirited competition. For 2025, the beneficiary will be the Okmulgee County Humane Society. From now through July 12, members of participating clubs will be collecting donations, both monetary and item-based, all contributing to the final tally. But here’s the twist – it’s all about weight! The club that collects the most total weight in donations will be crowned the champion.

Want to help? Bring your donations and join us at Nichols Park on July 12 between 12-2 p.m., where club members will be on hand to collect items and cheer on the effort.

Last year, the Lions Club took the win during a high-energy kickball tournament.

But this year, the Rotary Club is ready to rise to the challenge and claim the title through sheer generosity. Will the Lions defend their crown, or will Rotary rule the donation game? Only time will tell!

Supporters can get involved by donating directly to the club of their choice:

• Lions Club: PayPal @henlions

• Rotary Club: Cash App $HenryettaRotary Supporters can also contact any of the club members. Event shirts are available for purchase online through Kate’s LLC, so you can show your support in style.

Join us in making a difference for animals in need – let’s make this year’s Showdown Throw-Down the biggest yet!
