Troy Lynn Brownlee, 64, of Saginaw, Texas, died Friday, June 6, 2025. She was born on January 21, 1961, in Okmulgee to Troy and Edna Mae Barnett.
Memorial service took place at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025 at Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Troy Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend and so much more to all those whose lives she touched. Her lovingness and care were evident in her role as a wife, mother and grandmother. She raised two sons and spent as much time as possible with three granddaughters. She instilled in them the values of love, kindness, strength, work ethic and family. Troy Lynn shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband, Darrel, whose love and partnership were the foundation of their life together.
Being a mother was at the very center of who she was. She poured her heart and soul into raising her two sons. Her love for them was fierce and unconditional and she took great pride in the men that they became.
Her joy multiplied in the presence of her three granddaughters, whom she adored beyond words. Troy Lynn found immense happiness in their laughter, their milestones, and their dreams. She was their biggest cheerleader and greatest comfort. She was always ready with a warm hug, a listening ear, and words of encouragement.
Troy Lynn spent the last 10 years of her career as a dedicated school teacher before retiring, touching countless lives with her wisdom and unwavering commitment to her students. She brought heart and purpose to the classroom, inspiring young minds and nurturing January 21, 1961 – June 6, 2025
a love of learning in all who sat before her.
Beyond her professional career, Troy Lynn embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a love for making memories. She was an avid traveler who enjoyed cruises and getaways that let her see the world and relax with love ones. Summers floating down the Guadalupe were among her favorite traditions; sun-soaked days filled with laughter, water and family.
Family was at the heart of Troy Lynn’s life. She treasured time spent with loved ones, especially during family game nights that were full of competition, inside jokes and the kind of laughter that lingers. Her home was a place of welcome and joy, where everyone felt like they belonged.
Although she has left this world, we can take comfort in knowing she left behind a legacy with her family. She will be remembered for her strong spirit, her sense of adventure and her deep unwavering love for her family. Her memory lives on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught and the memories she helped create. Let us not mourn the loss of Troy Lynn, let us instead celebrate the impact that she had on all our lives. She will forever remain in our hearts.
Troy Lynn is survived by her husband of 43 years, Darrel Brownlee; children, Anthony Brownlee and wife, Ambur; Kevin Brownlee and wife, Lauren; grandchildren, Zoe Brownlee, Kylie Brownlee and Aurora Brownlee; father, Troy Barnett; sister, Norma Jean Barnett; and aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Mae Barnett.
