The Henryetta Chamber of Commerce is saddling up for an exciting weekend of western tradition as it hosts the Roy Madden Spring Round-Up Open Rodeo this Friday and Saturday starting nightly at 8 p.m. at the Jim Shoulders Living Legends Rodeo Arena in Nichols Park.
This family-friendly event promises two nights of action-packed rodeo entertainment featuring rough stock events provided by Ward Rodeo Company.
Competitors will vie for buckles awarded to the top high-money winners, but there’s a catch – to qualify, they must compete both nights of the event.
During this two-day event, guests can observe rodeo activities such as bareback riding, bull riding, ranch bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing and more.
Another fan-favorite making its return is Mutton Bustin’, which kicks off each night at 7 p.m. Children eight years and younger, weighing 60 pounds or less, are welcome to sign up and show their grit in this entertaining rodeo tradition.
Ticket prices are set to keep the event accessible at $12 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12 and free for children under five years old.
Credit cards will be accepted at the gate for added convenience.
The rodeo will be held at the Jim Shoulders Living Legends Rodeo Arena, a venue honoring the legendary rodeo champion and Henryetta native.

The event is sponsored in part by First Family’s Federal Credit Union, continuing their support for community events across the area.
