Though rain showers on Monday forced the annual Memorial Day Ceremony by the VFW Post 539 to be moved inside, the Patriotic Pride and remembrance for those who paid the ultimate price were remembered. The program was held at the chapel at Integrity Funeral Service with Commander Bill Goodner, joined by other veterans during the program. Once again, veteran Kent Pharoah performed “Taps” and “Danny Boy,” bringing a somber but beautiful close to the service.
