Dewar Public Schools participated in the annual Walk & Roll to School Day last Wednesday, May 7. This annual event involves communities from across the country (and globe) walking and rolling to school on the same day. Joining the students and staff on their walk were local firefighters, police and highway patrol officers, and even some parents accompanied their kids to school. The first ever event was held in 1997. Over time, this celebration has become part of a movement for year-round safe routes to school. See additional photos inside.
