In-person early voting starts Thursday for the upcoming Special General Election for Oklahoma State Senate District 8. There is also an election for a millage proposal for Green Country Technology Center.

Early voting will be Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Okmulgee County Election Board office, 314 W. 7th Street, Room 102, in Okmulgee.

Election Day is Tuesday, May 13, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at your polling place.

For the Special General Election for Oklahoma State Senator District 8, all registered voters in Okmulgee County are eligible to cast a ballot.

For the Special Election for Green Country Technology Center, voters must be registered with an address located in the technology center district.

Green Country Tech District includes voters with registration addresses in the following school districts:

• Beggs

• Dewar

• Henryetta

• Morris

• Okmulgee

• Preston

• Schulter

• Twin Hills
