July 4, 1962 – April 20, 2025
On July 4, 1962, a baby boy was born to Isaac and Beatrice (Goodloe) O’Guin. They named him Mark Anthony, but he was affectionately known to everyone as “Peabody.” He was the last of nine children.
Born and raised in the northwest community of Okmulgee County, he attended Preston Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1980.
A service of memory for Mr. O’Guin will commence on Saturday afternoon, April 26, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the most holy sanctuary of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1500 N. Miami Ave. in Okmulgee. Rev. Dr. Douglas Currington is the gracious host pastor, with Rev. Hollis Washington officiating and Rev. Earnest Kellum, III, pastor of Rogers Chapel Baptist Church in Slick, to deliver the eulogy.
You may visit “Peabody” as he slumbers in peaceful repose at the Keith D. Biglow Funeral Directors, Inc. of Okmulgee on Friday from 1-6 p.m.
Honoring his wishes, Mr. O’Guin will be cremated and his ashes scattered, with instructions under the auspices of Keith Biglow.
