Seminole 14, Okmulgee 0 The Seminole Chieftains erupted for 11 runs in the third inning en route to a 14-0 shutout of the Okmulgee Bulldogs on Thursday.
Seminole opened the game with a three-run first inning, highlighted by a Maverick Northrip walk and a two-run groundout by Jaxson Williams.
The game broke open in the third with a series of welltimed hits and plate discipline. Northrip and Carter Childs drove in runs with hits, and Ethan Noey punctuated the rally with a three-run triple to right-center field.
Dontre Garfield started for Seminole and earned the win, allowing just one hit over three shutout innings while striking out six.
Okmulgee’s lone hit came from Jax Finch, who also led the defense with four fielding chances. The Bulldogs turned one double play and committed no errors.
Seminole’s Childs finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Noey and Northrip also drove in three apiece.
Okmulgee hosts Summit Christian Academy on Friday.

A first-inning rally proved to be more than enough for the Summit Christian Academy Eagles as they topped the Okmulgee Bulldogs 7-1 on Friday.
Summit Christian jumped out early, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first. The Eagles got key RBI singles from Jax Bowley, Justin Tillman and Cole Griffin, along with a run-scoring walk by Caden Antle.
Despite a complete-game effort from Okmulgee’s Jordan Deere – who struck out six while giving up 16 hits—Summit continued to apply pressure. Okmulgee’s offense struggled to find rhythm, scoring just one run despite stealing seven bases and playing error-free defense.
Connor Rosamond was dominant on the mound for Summit, striking out 15 Okmulgee batters while surrendering only four hits and one run over seven innings.
Okmulgee got hits from Brandon Simon, Jason King, Jax Finch and Jordan Deere. Jerome James swiped two bases to lead the Bulldogs on the paths.
The Bulldogs will look to rebound when they travel to Prague on Monday.
