The competition was elite as the Henryetta Lady Knights hosted their annual Girls High School Golf Classic on April 9 at the beautiful Henryetta Golf Club. Facing off against some of the state’s most decorated programs, the Lady Knights proved once again that they belong among Oklaho- ma’s best.
Taking on defending 3A State Champion Tahlequah Sequoyah and State Runner-Up Metro Christian, Henryetta’s squad held their own and walked away with a 3rd place team finish. The round was another testament to the steady rise of the Lady Knights golf program, thanks in part to consistent performances from their top athletes.

• Breea Stockholm remained a model of consistency, landing 6th place and keeping her streak of Top 10 finishes alive for the season. Her calm presence on the course and smooth swing continue to set the pace for the team.
• Aubrie McGowin was close behind, placing 7th with a solid all-around round that included strong iron play and clutch putting.
• Abby Pemberton, one of the team’s veteran leaders, came heartbreakingly close to the Top 10, missing by just one stroke. Still, her performance was a key reason the team placed as high as they did.
-The Lady Knights wrapped up their regular season at the Elgin Invitational in Oklahoma City Monday, and with momentum on their side, they’re ready for postseason play.
