Lady Knights capture home tournament championship
By PATRICK FORD Editor,

The Henryetta Lady Knights tennis team delivered a dominant performance on their home courts, clinching the overall team title at the Henryetta 4A Girls Tournament. With strong showings across all divisions, the Lady Knights showcased their depth and determination, walking away as tournament champions.

Leading the charge were Abbi Dodge, who claimed the 1 Singles Championship, and Connie Dong, who was crowned 2 Singles Champion. Their undefeated runs set the tone for the team’s outstanding day.

In 1 Doubles, Casidy Bailey and Aubrey Macaluso fought hard and secured a 4th place finish, while the 2 Doubles team of Bayleigh Wolfe and Brooke Bailey earned Runner-up honors, adding critical points to the team’s overall score.

Several Lady Knights bounced back after early losses to claim Consolation Championships, showcasing resilience and grit:

• Violet Layman was the Consolation Champion in Singles play.

• Maddie Rock and Lauren Collett took home the Consolation Championship in 1 Doubles.

• Mykah Hott and Peyton Wind captured the Consolation title in 2 Doubles.

Other team members also contributed valuable efforts, with Annika Kramer finishing 4th in 2 Singles, Makinlee Kelce placing 7th in 1 Singles, and the 2 Doubles team of Addison Kramer and Winzly Buddy claiming 7th place in their division.

With a combination of championship victories, strong placements and depth in every bracket, the Lady Knights proved they are a force to be reckoned with in Class 4A tennis. Congratulations to all the athletes on their exceptional performances.
