Excitement and lots of laughs filled the Jim Waller Event Center Monday as the Preston-Twin Hills Pre-K through 2nd grade basketball teams hit the court for a night of fast-paced action and budding talent. The event showcased the enthusiasm and early skills of young players in a series of quick, competitive matchups.
The games kicked off at 4 p.m. with the Pre-K girls taking on their opponents, followed by the Pre-K boys at 4:30 p.m. Kindergarten teams kept the energy rolling, with the KG girls playing at 5 p.m. and the KG boys at 5:30 p.m. As the evening progressed, the 1st-grade girls and boys took center stage at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively, before the 2nd-grade girls and boys closed out the night with their games at 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
With the structure designed to keep the games moving swiftly, parents and supporters packed the stands, cheering on the young athletes as they gained valuable playing experience. The program encouraged teamwork, sportsmanship, and the fundamentals of basketball in a fun, encouraging environment.
