The Dewar Lady Dragons made a strong statement in district play, securing a 69-39 victory over the Drumright Lady Tornadoes last Thursday night. Dewar’s offense was relentless, while their defense kept Drumright in check throughout the contest.
The Lady Dr a gon s j u mp e d out to an early lead and continued to build momentum in each quarter. Led by standout performances from multiple players, Dewar controlled the pace of the game and maintained their dominance in the second half.

Laynie Taylor followed with 11 points, while Skylar Phillips and Raygin Thomas each contributed 10. The Lady Dragons displayed excellent ball movement, spreading the scoring across multiple players.
Drumright fought hard but struggled to keep pace with Dewar’s high-energy attack. Their top scorer managed 12 points, but Dewar’s defensive pressure limited their offensive rhythm.
Friday’s Regional game will be played at Drumright. The other regional games will be played at the Dome in Okmulgee.
