Candidate forum planned Feb. 1

The Okmulgee County Republicans are hosting a Candidate Forum on Saturday, Feb. 1, providing voters with a chance to hear directly from the Republican candidates vying for the State Senate District 8 seat.

This event is part of the lead-up to the March 4 primary election, which will determine the Republican nominee for the May 13 special election.

• Date: Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 • Time: 10 a.m. to 12 noon (meet-and-greet starts at 9 a.m.)

• Location: Harlan Meeting Room, OSUIT Student Union in Okmulgee

• Hosted by: Okmulgee County Republicans The forum will feature four candidates competing to represent Senate District 8:

• David Nelson of Morris

• Bryan Logan of Paden

• Hoss Durrett of Checotah

• Steven Baldridge of Okmulgee This event offers a valuable opportunity for voters to hear each candidate’s stance on key issues, ask questions, and engage in meaningful discussions about the future of District 8. The meet-and-greet session beginning at 9 a.m. allows attendees to interact with candidates in an informal setting before the forum begins.
