Tommy Lee Wade

A memorial service to Tommy Lee Wade will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church of Okemah, with Bro. Mike Neal officiating.

Tommy Lee Wade was born September 9, 1939, in Sardis to Loman and Thelma (Figgit) Wade. He passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at his home in Okemah at the age of 85.

Tommy was a resident of Okemah since 1973. On March 3, 1962, in Poteau, he married Billie Jean Pelky. Tommy graduated from Dewar High School in 1959 and later went on to attend East Central University and received his associate’s degree from Okmulgee Tech. Tommy worked as a draftsman for the State of Oklahoma also as a central pavement marking engineer for the state and manager of the state sign shop. Tommy also managed Liberty Oil Company of Okemah for more than 10 years. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and raising cattle.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Jean Wade September 9, 1939 – December 6, 2024

of the home; two sons, Aaron Clay Wade and wife Tracie of Bethel Acres and Darin Keith Wade and wife Mary Elizabeth of Bristow; three sisters, Madilyn Duncan of Dewar, Linda Hobbs of Henryetta and Reda Dunzy and husband David of Dewar; three grandchildren, Dustin James Wade, Charleen Klupenger and husband Chance and Brihanna Wade and three great-grandchildren, Brennan Wade, Cohen Klupenger, Harper Klupenger, Landon Klupenger and Joleen Klupenger. Also survived by numerous niece, nephews and other family members.

Services will be under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Okemah.
