Three Preston athletes to compete at state Native All-State Games
By LARRY OWEN SPORTS EDITOR Three Preston graduated stu-dent-athletes,

will participate in the upcoming Oklahoma Native All-State Games.

The ONASA Games will begin with the fastpitch softball game June 8 at 6 p.m. at the Muscogee Nation softball fields in Okmulgee.

The girls and boys basketball games will take place June 10 at the Mvskoke Dome in Okmulgee at 1 and 2:30 p.m., respectively, while the baseball game will be held at the Preston high school baseball field at the Jim Waller Sports Complex in Preston June 10 at 6 p.m.

The three PHS athletes that have been selected for the All-State Games are Jadyn Roberts, Keyton Smith, and Cooper Ausbrooks.

Roberts and Smith will participate in the All-State Basketball Games, while Ausbrooks will compete in the All-State Baseball Game.

The three Native All-State selections closed out their high school careers by leading their respective teams to the state tournament in 2023. Roberts led the Lady Pirate basketball and slowpitch softball teams to their first state tournament appearances since 2017 and 2019, respectively, while Smith guided the Pirates to the Class 2A state semifinals and Ausbrooks helped the Pirate spring baseball team reach the state tournament for the first time since 2016.
