A large crowd didn’t let the wet weather stop them from joining together last Thursday for the National Day of Prayer. With the recent tragic deaths in the community, the need for many prayers has been apparent and the support and outpouring of love was apparent. The event was scheduled to be held outside near the gazebo, but the rain and chilly conditions prompted the move inside the Henryetta Civic Center. Henryetta ministers and community members of all ages and faith were in attendance. Before the session began, the attendees enjoyed complimentary hot dogs, chips and drinks served, provided by Henryetta’s Joy In Life Church. Live praise and worship music was also performed. Pastor Suzie Stephens directed the actual Prayer Gathering, and she was followed by other ministers who shared their thoughts and prayers.
