The Henryetta Middle School 7th and 8th Grade Choir (above) and Henryetta High School Advanced Honor Choir (below) competed in the OSSAA District Choir Contest in Tahlequah Feb 28. During the contest which consists of two parts, in the stage performance, choirs sing two songs they have prepared. One has to be without accompaniment and one must be from the OSSAA Preferred Music List. In the sight reading portion, choirs must sing a song they have not seen before, singing it from the sheet music provided. Both HMS 7th/8th Grade Choir and HHS Advanced Honor Choir received Excellent ratings in both portions of this contest. Congratulations, HHS & HMS Choir. Karen Willis is the choir director.
