One of the young hi-jackers who held up half a dozen or more persons here in Okmulgee, Wednesday night, is at liberty. It was reported at the police station that he was ordered released by the county attorney on the ground that his campaign compelled him to join in the hold-ups. It was the big one that was released and his home is said to be at Wetumka. The smaller one, who handled the gun, is still in jail and it was stated today that an effort would be made to send to him to the boys reform school at Paul’s Valley until he shall attain the age of 21 years. He is said to be the son of a man who was implicated here years ago in the murder of an old man named Williams.
