Preston Athletic Fields Get Turf Makeover

The high school baseball and softball fields at the Jim Waller Sports Complex in Preston are receiving a makeover this summer. Both fields are in the beginning stages of having artificial turf placed on the playing surfaces. Workers this week removed the infield and outfield grass on the baseball field. The whole process is expected to take around two months (60 days) to complete. LARRY OWEN
