The Wilson Tigers have fallen into a seven-game losing slump after facing a 75-58 loss to the Butner Eagles Friday night. Winning streaks at the start of the 2019 season dissolved after the Tigers faced tough back-to-back losses in the Okmulgee County Tournament. The Tigers struggled to find their offensive footing against the Butner Eagles, who are ranked No. 9 in Class B and have a 20-2 season record. Three of Wilson’s experienced players were able to reach double digits - Asa Mitchell, Michael Conard and Malik Thompson. However, the Eagles had the timing and a 25-point scoring streak to defeat the Tigers. Mitchell was the top scorer for the Tigers, earning 20 points from six 2’s and three 3’s, while the Eagles rallied behind Nate Harrison, who shot down five 2’s and six 3’s for 28 points.
